How it works

Phone to phone. Nothing in between.

Rogr talks straight from one iPhone to the next over peer-to-peer Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth, the same radios AirDrop uses. No router, no tower, no server: if the phones are near enough to hear each other, they can talk.

It is honest about distance. This is a phone, not a two-way radio with an antenna.

What it does

A real radio in your pocket.

Every screen is built like a handset: a screen, hard keys, a talk bar and a speaker grille. Here is what it does.

Find

Find your friends. Even out of sight.

Close up, iPhone's Ultra Wideband chip points an arrow at the other phone, the way you find an AirTag. Further out, Rogr shares GPS positions with your crew and the compass points the way.

Crew

Tap to talk. One at a time.

Tap the talk bar, speak, tap again to send. Only one person talks at once, like a real radio, so no one talks over anyone. Press while a friend is talking and yours goes out the moment they finish.

Bump to pair

Touch phones, done.

Hold the tops together. Rogr pairs only the phone it touches.

SOS

Hold for help.

Every phone in your crew sounds an alarm and sees where you are, until someone hears it.

Missed messages

Out of range? It waits.

What you said reaches friends when they walk back into range. Tap one to hear it.

Sound and feel

Beeps you can pick. Buzzes you can feel.

The roger when a friend finishes, the squelch when they start, the static between channels. Three sound packs, and haptics for every key: a rumble while you talk, a heartbeat as you find someone.

Lock Screen

Talk without opening it.

The radio lives on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, with a talk button right there. Pocket the phone and it still rings through.

Privacy

What you say goes to your crew. Nowhere else.

No account

No sign-up, no phone number, no email. You pick a callsign and you are on air.

No server

Voice, video and positions travel phone to phone, encrypted end to end. There is no Rogr server to send them to.

No tracking

No analytics, no ads, no data sold. Your position is shared only with your crew, and only while you say so.

Rogr Pro

Make it yours.

Three more radio shells and the Military and Sci‑Fi sound packs. One payment, every device in your family. Talking, crews, finding and SOS are free, always.

Tap a shell: the radio at the top of the page changes.

Questions

Good to know.

Does it really work with no signal?

Yes. Rogr needs no internet, no mobile data and no Wi‑Fi network. Phones talk directly over peer-to-peer Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth. Keep Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth switched on in Control Centre; you do not need to join a network.

How far does it reach?

Tens of metres, more in open air with a clear line of sight, less through walls and dense crowds. If friends walk out of range, what you say is kept and delivered when they come back.

Does everyone need Rogr?

Yes, every phone in the conversation needs Rogr. It is free to download. Pair once by bumping phones or scanning a code, or send your crew an invite link while you still have signal.

Can strangers hear my crew?

No. Your crew channel is encrypted and only phones you paired can join it. Open channels are public by design, audio only, and you can mute anyone.

Will it drain my battery?

Rogr keeps a quiet link open so friends can reach you. Battery saver lowers voice quality and shares your position less often, and you can switch the radio off with the power key.

Which iPhones does it work on?

iPhones running iOS 17 or later. Arrow finding needs an iPhone with the Ultra Wideband chip (iPhone 11 or later, except SE); every iPhone gets GPS finding.
